Our mission

Let’s Talk Vaginas.

We’re a UK campaign founded by PHLORA Labs. We want vaginal health to be understood, openly discussed, and met with care that’s accessible, high quality, and patient-focused.

Our Approaches

Break the stigma

Make vaginal health something everyone can talk about openly, without shame or embarrassment.

Build understanding

Share clear and trustworthy information so people know what’s normal, when to seek help, and how to support others.

Connect needs to care

Close the gap between what people need and the care they receive.

The Problem

Why it matters

Half the UK population have a vagina.3 in 4 will get a vaginal infection. So why is no one talking about it?

Vaginal infections like thrush and BV (bacterial vaginosis) are some of the most common health issues women* face. Yet shame keeps them quiet. Reliable information is hardly seen, partners don’t understand, and when women* do speak up, they’re often dismissed

*We use “women” to include everyone who has a vagina, including trans men and non-binary people.

This is what people have told us…

  • “Nobody wants to talk about vaginas or sexual health.”
Shame keeps people silent, even with their GP or gynaecologist. So symptoms go unmentioned, undiagnosed and untreated.
  • “I had no idea what it was but it just kept itching and burning down there.”
When symptoms start, people don’t know what’s happening or how to seek help. So they guess, self-treat, or wait it out.
  • “He would look at me like I would give him diseases.”
Recurrent infections affect sex and relationships, yet most partners know little about the problem. The weight and guilt often falls on one side alone.
  • “Do you want a baby?”I said no.“Then keep taking the pill.”This was what my GP told me.
When people do speak up, they’re often dismissed. They’re given short-term fixes but no long-term plan.
